Comic Book Review#119: Hunter - The Age of Magic#18(2003)

Hello, my fellow readers and welcome to the first review of the second international week on "..,klar"!

As you may know, I already reviewed an annual issue of "Books Of Magic". Therefore you should be familiar with the character called "Timothy Hunter". "Hunter - The Age Of Magic" is a follow-up series which started after the end of "Books Of Magic".

In this issue, Tim is on an important quest. He wants to save his girlfriend Eden out of the hands of the cruel magician Mr. Lily. He keeps her in the actually existing garten eden. But not so fast: Lily makes Tim an offer - He can have Eden back, but only if he gets him the...."Codex Raziel", a very important magical book. Well, that's the point of the story. We get more information here, though. The comic tells us that Lily was a Philologist in WW2 when suddenly he met Giannino Bernardi who belongs to a "small but dedicated group known as the order of the golden lotus". He offered Lily to join the order which has a very nice aim to fullfill. They want to restore the paradise on earth. Well, Lily joins but through the years he goes mad while looking for the "Codex Raziel" he desperately wants to have. He even joins the nazis...Although is not even explained why it underlines his insanity pretty good. So much for Dr. Lilys flashback. That's all! :D

Pretty nice comic, although I don't exactly get the actual story background. Cool to read. Nice to look at. Dr. Lily is an interesting character and Tim is still pretty bad ass.
